3.4 Analysis of Swing and Bounce of Water Roller or Ink Roller

The water roller or ink roller should be in a purely rolling state between the plate cylinder and not relative sliding. However, due to its contact with the roller, if the two sides can not guarantee no gap, it will move together with the left and right of the roller, which will cause the left and right slip of the print. If the water roller or the ink roller moves together with the roller, the axial direction will not be uniform and even. The solution to this problem is:

1 Reduce the contact pressure between each other, thereby reducing friction.

2 Reduce the viscosity of the ink, thereby reducing the friction.

3 Avoid uneven pressure, otherwise it may cause excessive pressure in some places. In this case, it may cause direct contact with the roller surface, and the friction force increases sharply.

4 Strictly control the gap between its two ends to minimize the possibility of stringing.

The beating of the water roller and the ink roller is mainly caused by the notch of the plate cylinder, and the crotch of the plate will cause wear due to impact. Therefore, it is necessary to find a way to reduce the impact force of the contact or increase the capacity of buffering and absorbing vibration.
